Mr. Chubbs goes under the knife!

Mr. Chubbs has had a recurring ear infection since December which antibiotics did not relieve.  Thankfully, he is such a good natured little boy and this infections were just a nuisance to him and not a battle.  At the recommendation of his primary care physician, we went to a specialist who advised he get tubes put in his ears.  It was a quick series of events.

We got up early and drove about an hour away to the facility.  Mr. Chubbs patiently waited his turn, reading books with Daddy and playing ball.

He went freely with the nurses and did great.  Once he came off the laughing gas, he was calling for Mommy but otherwise not very different.  Once we went back with him, Mr. Chubbs just wanted Mommy to hold him.  He discovered he had a sensor on his foot and quickly removed that.  He was chatting and returned to himself quickly.  The observing nurse discharged him and as we were leaving Mr. Chubbs said "Hug you!" to her and gave her a quick snuggle before we departed.

You could tell he was a little off, probably more confused than anything.  He slept on the way home and snuggled for a little bit once we got home.

However, the snuggles weren't required for long and soon enough he was up and at it.  He enjoyed a stay home day from daycare and quickly got back to his climbing, book reading, superhero playing ways.
Super reassuring for this mama!!!

Adventures in Downtown Madison

During the warmer months, the local businesses on Main Street stay open late for Fourth Fridays and the Madison Trolley is patrolling the roads.  This Fourth Friday also happened to be Old Court Days, so our dear friend Julie was in town selling her jewelry (www.JulieBunchOriginals.com).  To convince the kids to go downtown, I said we could ride the trolley....

Little did I know that Judy the Trolley Driver loves to have children help her.  Both Boys got to drive with Judy and they loved it.  I love our community and that there are so many people that make it great!!!

After our Trolley ride, we stopped for dinner and LBH got his face painted for the first time.  LBH was apprehensive about it and actually changed his mind twice before finally climbing into the chair.  From the artist's collection, he chose Wolverine!  Mr. Chubbs was also going to do it but backed out.

LBH loved that he had "claws" as well!!

Overall, a great visit with Julie and a fabulous evening in our small town!!!!

Mr. Chubbs the Animal Lover

If Mr. Chubbs was a decision-maker in our family, we would have a plethora of dogs.  He loves them!  He can hear their bark miles away (ok a slight exaggeration).  He wants to pet them and doesn't mind their kisses.

Weekly pictures Week 23-48

Wow am I behind on posting updates. We moved in March so I lost my awesome chalkboard that reminded me to take a weekly picture. Amazingly enough I have managed to get a weekly picture of ConMan / Mr. Chubbs as well as some cute videos. It helped tremendously that I upgraded to a smartphone. Mr. Chubbs continues to be a very content, happy baby.  He is full of smiles and joy.  He loves watching his big brother play and is super excited to join in on the fun.

Merry Christmas from the Greens!

So I might have forgotten to wish my readers a Merry Christmas 6+ weeks ago!!!!  Since I forgot, let's just do a recap of the festivities.  Since LBH was born, we have decided that we always spend Christmas morning at our house!  My MIL typically comes over that afternoon and I take the kids up to my parents the days that hubby works.  This year was no different.

We also got to engage in some new activities leading up to Christmas.  This year we rode the local Santa Train - which involved a 30-minute train ride and meeting Santa as he walked through the train.  LBH thoroughly enjoyed meeting Santa this year (very different from the fear he had last year).  Con Man (Mr. Chubbs) was pretty indifferent about the Jolly Elf.  While on the train, everyone sang some Christmas carols....LBH's favorite was Jingle Bells.  After Jingle Bells, the train sang Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer - to which LBH proclaimed that was not a Christmas song!!!!

Early December, I realized that I hadn't prepared for Christmas Cards, so I planned a little photo session at my parent's house because they decorate so much more than I do.  I had hoped to capture the boys together in a beanbag chair but a strong-willed 2 year old had other ideas.....

This was our primary picture on our Christmas card!!!!

My chubby little elf didn't really care what I did with photo session but his chubby thighs were uncomfortable in the Bumbo seat!

The Christmas Party at Daycare was a huge success...full of sweet goodies and music time from the kiddos.  Mary had a list of songs the kids were going to sing but LBH had a mind of his own....

Unfortunately this year we didn't make it to the Christmas Eve Service at church.  My mom did send the boys a Christmas Eve present with new pajamas and a book.  I managed to capture the boys before they went to bed.

Santa did a great job visiting us this year!

LBH is in a big superhero phase, especially the Avengers!

He also got a castle with all kinds of features.

After stuffing ourselves and a nap, we headed to the Happy Farm for part 2!  There LBH got more superhero stuff and an awesome baseball tee/pitching machine.

The weekend after Christmas, we headed to my parents' house to celebrate the holidays!  LBH refused to open any presents because he was too busy eating a sucker.  Therefore, Papa and Aunt Rachel opened all his presents for him.

While Rachel was in town, we made a trip to Sky Zone!  It took LBH a while to warm up to the idea but he ended up loving the foam pit.

He REFUSED to jump on the trampolines and if I jumped he told me to be careful if I tried to jump!

All in All it was another fabulous holiday spent with family and friends!!!
