LBH loves Christmas

LBH was 17 months old this Christmas so he understood the process of opening gifts and actually enjoyed the things we bought him.
He met Santa at Daycare one day, and actually sat on Santa' lab, though only for a microsecond.  Santa gave him 2 presents and he enjoyed opening them.

He loved looking at the Christmas tree and left it alone for the most part.  We waited to put out any gifts until Christmas Eve for fear that LBH would mess with them and opening all of them.  Christmas morning, LBH was very excited to see all the presents under the tree.  He immediately grabbed a present and sat in Daddy's lab to open it.

After each present, he had to open the toys and play with for a few minutes before moving onto the next gift.

After an exhausting morning of opening presents, LBH found a place to lay down.

We stayed home for Christmas day, had Christmas Lunch with MaMaw, then visited our friends at the Happy Farm.  LBH got 2 more presents, which he happily played with Boxing Day morning.

LBH and an adventure in the Snow!!!

We got snow last year but LBH was so little that we didn't bother messing with it.  This past week we got out first big snow (and ice) of the year!  Once Nate got home from work, we bundled LBH up in a snowsuit and took him outside.

Here's the results:

LBH loves Christmas Lights

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, my parents came to visit and we went to Louisville.  We drove through Mega Caverns Lights Under Louisville.  LBH loved it.

After dinner, we went to downtown Louisville for their Light Up Louisville.  LBH didn't enjoy the waiting as he just wanted to wander but there were too many people.  My Mum taught him to call for "Santa".  Then I was able to capture his face as the lights came on.
Precious!  I am super excited for what this holiday season will have in store for us!

LBH and the great Halloween Costumes

This year, I found an adorable Charlie Brown onesie on Zulilly and knew LBH needed it!

He wore it to daycare on Halloween Day, then that night we had some glow-in-the-dark skeleton pajamas.

Since LBH is only 16 months old, I wasn't planning on taking him trick-or-treating but we were going to hand out candy.  This year, Halloween fell on a Thursday and was rainy and gross.  Since Trick-or-Treating was moved to Friday, LBH got to go with our dear friends, since I had a work function.

LBH had already worn Charlie Brown so I had a back-up costume and he was a monkey!

LBH and the Great Pumpkin

During my Fall Break, we took a trip to Joe Huber's Family Farm.  LBH got to play in their children's area, where he fed the ducks and taunted goats.

Of all the things to see and play with, LBH found a bright yellow softball and proceeded to carry it around with him.

After some play time, we got on the tractor and headed to the Pumpkin Patch.

The ground was very uneven, so LBH spent more time on his butt than his feet.  We didn't find any pumpkins that screamed "Take me home!" so we headed back to the Restaurant for an early dinner.

On the way home, we stopped at a local pumpkin patch and Nate found $20 worth of pumpkins for our family (5).  Once we got him, Nate got to carving and LBH helped remove the guts of one pumpkin.  In honor of his Great Pumpkin, LBH was Charlie Brown for Halloween:

He likes removing his diaper changing supplies and sitting in the built in cabinets
Waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs.
LBH was also a Skeleton as he slept and a Monkey when he went trick-or-treating with our friends!

LBH and the Playground

During a beautiful Autumn day, we were visiting our Greenwood family and headed to a nearby park for some outdoor fun.  LBH loved that he could roam, though he preferred to be playing with the other kids not on the equipment all alone.  He went down the slide, pretended to drive, spent some time in the swing and play some musical instruments.  Most importantly, LBH got so spend time with is Aunt Rachel who moved to Seattle this summer!!

LBH - All WEEKLY Pictures in One Place

Looking back through the blog posts, I noticed that one could not clearly see how much LBH changed throughout his first year, so here is a recap in honor of Thanksgiving because I am so thankful for the blessing that is my Little Big Head!!!
